My Stab's - Jefferson Hwy review!
So we finally decided to go to the fairly new Stabs on Jefferson for Sunday Brunch this past weekend and we can't say enough great things about it! We started with specialty cocktails from their menu and they were absolutely amazing! There are so few places in Baton Rouge where they employ REAL bartenders and mixologist's and this is one of them! I'm all about a great martini, and Levi, the bartender, had me hooked immediately! We had their oysters for an appetizer, and the fresh grilled speckled trout over grilled veggies for our entree's. WOW! It was perfection on a plate! Our meal and our service was spectacular! Well done Stab's chef! When the bill arrived it was also another surprise.. 2 martinis, a few beers, appetizers and 2 entrees, all total $103.00! We found the price point to be excellent.. especially considering the large portions we were served.
Our second visit yesterday proved only to be more of the same.. delicious food and amazing cocktails! This time made by Josh. As I browsed the cocktail menu he offered to make me one of his off the menu drinks. It was so fresh and delicious that I called one of my "martini snob" friends and made her come up to join us! We all sat on the patio to enjoy the beautiful day and discovered something else we loved... with the amazing fountain and music, all the traffic noise of Jefferson Hwy disappeared! Finally a place to sit outside where you can disappear from the Baton Rouge traffic and just enjoy being with your friends and family!
YAY for Stabs and we'll definitely be seeing you again soon!

We went back in December for my Grandfathers birthday and it was a disaster. Food took forever and I'm pretty sure they messed up the lobster. It wasn't even that good.

You could have been a bit more subtle!!!!!!! And use less exclamation marks just as a general rule.

Disgusting self-promotion. Any desire to actually try that place is over.

Why did you feel the need to include the bar tenders names?

As someone who's never been to Stab's but has been considering it for an upcoming birthday dinner, what's the big gripes here?

Well, don't care what you think. Just really enjoyed sitting outside with a cocktail, enjoying the day. We live close and btw, I have never worked in a restaurant in my life. Was glad to go myself and find out for myself. Do you guys like anything or believe anything except from people with 10,000 posts.

I think it was your creepy level of enthusiasm and knowing employee names. Most people don’t have that knowledge just because they dined there.

It was a little over-zealous. My friend and I were over-served.

Don’t think op works there, review was also posted on Nextdoor and looks like someone copied and pasted or on stabs Facebook.
