Down's Lounge was next to Lafreniere Park. Went in there once while on a Hotard bus for a bachelor party. Shite went sideways that night when we walked in with a video camera. Fun times.

What about the Tractor Bar in Basil, I heard rumor that it closed? It is/was pretty awesomely trashy. I've got me a shirt with their motto:

"The Tractor Bar. Come In and Get Plowed".

Regular bar.... Aunt Tiki's in NOLA. It had no door, only the plastic strips that you put in a meat locker.

Strip bar.... The Foxy Lady (now gone) Beaumont Texas. Saw a girl strip out of a one-piece bathing suit.

Totally forgot about Blind River Bar in this thread.

Wasn't there for the David Duke/Klan rally back in the day, my father must have been working that night.

Have been there on a regular Tuesday in February when they were "closed"

Spillway Bar in my hometown of Norco during the late '70's early 80's. The cast of characters there was incredible. Porky and Killer were the stars with a skanky former female jockey called little bit.

The only food they had was pickled quail eggs and red barron pizzas.

Buddy of mine said there was a huge brawl some 15-16 years ago for a Mardi Gras. Like 25 people involved.

I second this ^^^

Also, Bada's in Krotz Springs, La. This place takes the cake, it's changed ownership, but it's raunchy as hell.

Levee Landing Bar, Port Barre is up there too. Recently went there after an evening duck hunt in full camo, I was over dressed.

Brass Anchor, Bay St. Louis Mississippi. Might be closed but this place was rough.

The John, Frenchman St. NOLA...dirty as they come. This is a sheethole.

I remember my Old Man dragging me with him to some spots that seemed pretty shitty as a kid.

They may not have been, but what did I know at that age? The spots I remember:

Clematis

Checkmate

Hook & Ladder

Art's (also on Clematis)

The Icehouse in Gentilly

The two spots he used to go to that i actually liked were Whitey's on Downman and Liuzza's by the track.

Any of you ever go to the Sans Souci. It was on one of the state highways outside of BR on the way to False River (maybe the corner of 413 and 190?).

I never went there, but it always looked like a scary place to me.

We went there a few times after the BR bars closed at 2am. Definitely a different vibe. I think it was on 415 in Port Allen.

Anyone remember Ben and Nita's on the Amite in Port Vincent? The stuff that came out of the swamp..
