Going for the first time tonight. Is there anything that's "can't miss" while I'm there?

It's all really good. Haven't come across a lackluster item on their menu yet.

It's pretty heavy fare. I got the lambneck last time and liked it a lot.

It’s very good. Cracklings are made to order if I recall and have a nice kick

The more interesting things are in the appetizers/small plates category, and in the sides. (Love that chicken liver mousse and the pork rillettes.) The entrees can be a little too "big hunk of protein" for me. It's also one of the few fine dining/better places open for Saturday lunch that's not downtown or FQ.

Meatery Board for sure.

I’m not a big fan of their steak option...but it’s certainly not bad.

I’m a fan of the venison and the duck. The apps listed above are great, including the cracklin.
I’ll be there tonight as well.

Bought a couple people copies this year.

The crack dust on the cracklins is amazing.

If you see a big hunk of meat on the menu you are in for a treat.

Duck
Wasnt on the menu last night. I got the braised oxtail which was very good and the other people got venison which was awesome as always.

Meat board to start. Especially if you have 2-3 people.

I am a Toups truther through and through.

Had a couple friends who had never been there, so brought them along this past weekend and...what the hell is going on over there?

It was maybe only half full at 7:30 PM when they're usually a wait for a table, it was freezing cold like an icebox, the dirty rice tasted like a salt mine and we had probably the weirdest table service I've had in years.

Hope they're doing OK and this trip was just a weird outlier.

Went for my birthday late December for the first time. Worst service at a restaurant I have ever had. Seriously that bad. Took over an hour to get appetizers. Took over 30 mins just to get our drinks actually. We waited 2hrs to get entrees. Staff wasn't even apologetic. It wasn't even packed or anything. Never going back.

I believe they are going through changes... Toups South shut down and they are mixing things up.
