Top 5 buffets in the BR area

I’m a self-admitted glutton, and I love a good buffet (despite popular opinion, they DO exist). Here are my picks for the Top 5 buffets in the Baton Rouge area, in no particular order:
1) Thai Pepper. I’ve been going here since Thai Kitchen was in this location. It became Thai Pepper about 20 years ago and during that time, despite multiple ownership changes, it has remained consistently excellent.
2) Sushi Masa. Yeah, it’s not the same quality as what you’ll find at Umami or Sushi Yama, but it’s still damn solid and a great deal for those with massive appetites, such as myself.
3) Foo Chow (Walker). On Saturday nights, you can get all of their usual offerings, as well as snow crabs, blue crabs, and Louisiana crawfish - and they’re actually good. The snow crabs are actually some of the best I’ve had.
4) Swagat. For years, Bay Leaf was my go-to. But with each visit to Swagat, I am more and more impressed. They’re friendly people and they appear to be doing good business, so I’m sticking with them for my Indian cravings.
5) El Magey. I miss the awesomeness and nostalgia of Pancho’s as much as anybody else, but El Magey more than holds its own in the Mexican category. AYCE lengua tacos and that melon drink they have — yum.

Never had either of these, so I’ll need to give them a shot.
One glaring omission from your list, though. No love for Taste and Sea (formerly Kaminari)?

When you say "buffet", do you mean pukatorium?

It’s ok, but not on the level of the others I mentioned.

Always loved the Chinese place on Florida with Mongolian bbq.

Buffets are gross. When you're siting in the restaurant, pay attention to how many people lick their fingers. Those same fingers that share the buffet spoons with you.

I'll admit to being a sucker for Indian buffets.
Thai Pepper is legit too.

frick that place. I got food poisoning from eating there and I had to skip St. Patrick’s Day because I was too busy shitting and vomiting.
Thai Pepper and Sagat are about the only buffets I still go to.

I've seen Chef John Folse having a working lunch there with a table of his guests.
Bayou Bistro in Brusly is also very good, for a buffet.

I’ve given it several chances, and it’s just not very good. In fact, a lot of the dishes are nasty, the fish is extra fishy (in a bad way) and the sushi rice texture is all wrong.

A real gem in Gonzales.

Bay Leaf > Swagat
Nothing against swagat because i destroy it as well, but i think Bay Leaf has the slight edge
