The Lafayette Cochon is nowhere near the the Nola one. The Lafayette Cochon had absolutely terrible service and the food was pretty average for Lafayette but overpriced. It really hurt being in River Ranch as well. Came off as too snooty for some people.

You honestly can't really compare the 2 and Cochon in Nola isn't even top 10 there.

Sweet, I'm 4/101 !

The only non-NOLA one I've been to is Rasika in DC

Cochon and Commanders on this list?

They are not even a top 10 restaurant in NOLA.

Please, enlighten us with ten better restaurants than Commanders in New Orleans.

Get the frick out and don't come back. Not to mention you butchered the names of half of these, which makes me wonder if you've ever been or if you're just inebriated

It's Coquette

And I like the place, but it's not better than Commander's Palace IMO

I wouldn't be bringing it up if it was just an errant letter, but "le floret?" "croquette?" This guy has clearly never been to either

The Barn at Blackberry Farm, you cannot eat there unless you stay there and it is very pricey. They have opened it up to outside diners now and then but it is a set menu where you pick from one of 3 offerings in each category. Like Cochon I guess people are facsinated with new style Appalachian cooking.

I definitely think Commanders is a top 10 restaurant and one of the best places for tourists to go but I prefer the food at more than 10 different places. For me it is because of the style of the cooking and the different type of sauces each uses.

I think they are in a relatively tough spot because its such a landmark that they can't go getting crazy changing up the menu every few months like Stella or August, but they have to (and I think very much have managed to) stay at the top of the nola restaurant world despite being handcuffed as such. Props to them.

That's what I was wondering. It had to be a massive step down from the New Orleans one to not draw nice reviews.

I've eaten there once. It was ok. Nothing special, really. I would NOT have it in my top 10 of NOLA restaurants either.
