The name of this forum is a jab at TF:

Mr. Lake's Nonpompous New Orleans Food Forum

Cajunate posts there sometimes. Aboy and Jim Z are posters to watch. Jim Z has a lot of good sausage and bread recipes. And chefairline was the owner of Kid Creole on Airline (now closed, unfortunately).

TF used to have his own open forum, but he was so mocked there that he shut it down. He may have a private forum now, anybody know?

He once banned me from there, inexplicably calling me an "a-hole" in an email. He had to apologize later because he was the a-hole. I had done nothing out of line.

It was a blog. Had a picture of Tom's face with clown hair rainbow wig on him. Blogger would post every couple weeks or so when Tom made some douchey statements that could easily be made fun of.

It was a guy from Fitzmorris' old food board. Can't remember his name. Gris Gris will know. Guy was a jackass on the board. BamBam was on it for a long time too. It had quite the cast of characters on it. Then that guy started a blog.

I used to post on that board. It did have a great assortment of characters.

I posted on Lake's forum eons ago when she didn't have all that many posters. I think it had just started up. Had to stop posting or reading it because she was so obsessed with Tom that it became a joke. That woman needs to move on in life. Maybe she has, but sheesh....

I think Neworleans.com was a part of ruining Tom's site. The moderators weren't so great and TF needs moderators because he taunts and gets folks riled up regularly. It actually worked better when he was his own moderator. People like Amarone are obsessed with him also and went nuts from time to time. The quality of the food posts went down substantially, plus neworleans.com got a lot of spam for a while.

I can't remember who the guy was that started the silly website about TF. He had several aliases. He was another obsessive person. I think he wanted to beat TF up in a McDonald's parking lot one time. Things went down when they all argued over the German boats or something along those lines. TF should never have allowed an OT like forum there. Lots of characters there. It was a very busy forum some 8 years ago. Lots of good info, but it went down, down, down with every incarnation. I didn't join the last one. It was so slow and not very interesting. Even TF didn't post much there. He finally got the naysayers off, but it was so strict no one else wanted to play either, I guess.

It was an interesting place, no doubt.

Starting one with Andrea would be a train wreck and wouldn't last a week.

No, I have not, but quite a few folks on the forums did and reported back. They all seemed to enjoy them.

We should turn this into a food board recurring troll thread. People should call in and say what a nice meal they had at Applebees and what not.

Yeah. I didn't even know what the prize was, but I really wanted to get in on a chance to win those seven $50 gift cards. Now I've got a 1/7 chance.

I'm not a wino, but the prize was for Pearl Wine Shop in mid city (N.O.) Don't have a clue how many boxes that will get me - anybody know?
