Made in Texas are idiots. Fwiw any meat you have to smoke in order to add flavor to make it edible shouldn’t be considered something we call ‘best’ anyway. I’ve never heard someone call a smoked steak ‘best’.

Lol terrible take

The brisket isn’t smoked to give it smoke flavor (although it’s delicious) it’s smoked to cook low and slow to allow the meat/fat to breakdown to a point to become pull apart

Corned beef which is also brisket and not traditionally smoked it also delicious.

If you steamed a steak or smoked it for 18 hours it would be terrible because it is a different cut lending itself to a different cooking technique

The new Bayou Smokehouse on Coursey has some really good brisket. Pulled pork is very good too. Sides are kind of meh though.
