Bro, it's only been 2 hrs since you left home. You are making incredible time. May your rice be hot and your casings tasty.

Seems like he's not stopping to eat. Just grabbing and storing for when he gets back home.

A friend of mine is bringing me some frozen boudin today that I plan on cooking for Easter and I realized I never actually cooked it before. What's the preferred method? I was planning to defrost it then bake it at 300F for 20-30 mins to crisp up the skin.

I’m jealous.
Need to do a cracklin run next!

What specifically am I missing that’s better than what I’m already getting?

I think Best Stop, Johnson's, Nunu's and Billeaud's are all better than Bourque's, Billy's and Janise's.

You have to add D&J grocery to the list. They are located in Gonzales.

Is the place you’re referring to called Bosco’s? If so, I just passed it. I’ll hit it up on the way back.
I can’t remember name but it is on the right going west on 190

Bosco's has some of my favorite cracklin ever, but their boudin is way too ricey for me

From Mr Ts make sure you get the Smoked links. The regular links are fire too but the smoked links are life changing.

I did this 4-5 years ago. Hit:
Mowata Stoe
Eunice Superette
Kartchners- KS
Billy-KS
Billy’s- Scott
Dons
Best Stop
Heberts
Poches
And 1 more I’m not thinking of. It was 10 total. Good times

Johnson’s Boucaniere and Nunus are both top tier and should be discussed in any boudin conversation.

I'd put Billy's, Nunu's and Billeauds as my top 3 with little room between them.

I’ve always enjoyed them in the past; they’re just not on my route today.
I hit my westernmost destination; now I’m headed back the opposite direction. I’ve impressed myself for not giving in to temptation.
