Went for the first time this weekend. I was super disappointed. Was not impressed with anything other than the lamb. Asked several times for a certain cut of meat. Was never served it. Most likely won't be back.

We went when it first opened and they were giving the buy one get one free deal.
We made the mistake of hitting up the salad bar first.
It's impossible to eat all that different types of meat and enjoy it.
It reminds me of the Las Vegas casino buffets.
It's impossible to enjoy it and it's way overpriced.

I would rather just eat a nice meal at Ruth Chris over Texas De Brazil.

That's a bad move even if you've never been there. You have to think, son. That said, I've gone twice as a guest of another and was not impressed. As you said, a real steakhouse is better and you won't get 2 weeks worth of salt with your meal.

If I ever return, I'll get the salad bar only. It's one of the best I've seen and was so much better than the meat.

Friend,

I have tried it once, as well as the Fogo de Chao on Canal. It was okay, but for the price, I much prefer Golden Corral. The sirloins there are delicious and you get it immediately off the grill. No steakhouse in America allows you to get a more freshly grilled steak. With appropriate table selection, one can reasonably expect to bite into a steak that was 15 seconds previously on a 600 degree surface.

I also prefer the rolls and desserts at Golden Corral to the South American styled all-you-can-eat steakhouses. Of course, this is only my opinion, and I oft have been criticized for having bad opinions.

How’s the salad bar at the steakhouse in NOLA? The lunch salad only deal looks pretty good.

I don’t know how it is during Covid. Went to a great salad bar out of state a few months ago and they had gloves available for patrons. Someone else making my salad takes the fun out of it. I want that blue cheese dressing piled on there.

Goofball,

This is how any decent steakhouse operates. From the time Flemings puts my steak on the grill and i take a bite of it, maybe 20 seconds goes by.

Damn! How are you not burning your mouth if you are eating it while it is grilling?

Friend,

There is no waiter in America that will deliver a steak to your table faster than I move from the GC grill to the steak table.

Goober,

When you fine dine, yes they will deliver it faster than your fat arse can move from the buffet to your table, playing frogger with the other fat asses moving about in the Corral.

That’s too bad, I really like Texas de Brazil and always had good experiences there. I find the food is better the busier the restaurant is, maybe because your always getting something fresh from the grill. Compound fewer customers with the service/staffing issues many restaurants are having right now and it is not a good situation for anyone.

Try to find a local Brazillian steakhouse that is not a chain. In DFW there is one in the mid cities that is half the prize of Fogo de Chao or Texas de Brazil and just as good.
