Because people don't want to be embarrassed for supporting someone.

They want to support Trump but are too worried about what their friends and neighbors will think of that.

It's these people's way of trying to support Trump while at the same time shielding themselves from the criticism lobbed at Trump and his supporters

Are the same people who:

-Say Trump needs to put down the twitter and stop tweeting

-Say things like "just wear the mask bro so we can get this over with, your rights aren't being violated, stop complaining"

-Think Nikki Haley is a good candidate for 2024 and probably originally supported Kasich, Jeb or Rubio in 2016

-Wish Trump acts more "presidential"

-says Trump embarrasses them because they care more about clutching their pearls over what their friends, neighbors and fellow country club members think about Trump's behavior than Trump doing the right thing

-Probably believed the 2012 GOP autopsy after the election saying we need to go after hispanics and pander to them by doing things like passing amnesty

-Posted a dark black square on their social media profiles back in June, and says things like "I am conservative and MAGA but we need to just admit we have a race issue in this country"

Good. If no undecideds vote and this is a base turnout election, Trump wins

That's the strategy Trump went into this debate with

Trump got Joe to admit he is against the Green New Deal, against Defund the Police, didn't say anything about court packing, said Biden called blacks Super Predators

All those things will depress democrat turnout especially from the far left and black democrats

It's a turnout election

This is the college educated white vote that is shifting hard against Trump... they don't care about the suffering of the working-class b/c it doesn't effect them. Their kids don't die in wars, their jobs aren't shipped abroad, MS-13 aren't in their neighborhoods

As long as you have the manners of a WASP you can wreck the country and their fine with it. The only way to counter their vote is to energize, mobilize, and register the white-working class base
