I agree, comparing Fogo to Texas de Brazil is like comparing Ruth's Chris to Outback.

With 20 and 30 year olds in pumps and skirts? Where do I sign? Might be better than the Troy game...

Well if any of you DO go, hopefully your experience will be better than mine was.

I can't believe this place has inspired a thread this long. Isn't it essentially a glorified buffet?

With buffets you have to get up off your arse and get your own damn food. At churrascarias they bring you food to the point that you can't keep up and have to flip your little card over. If you don't like a challenge, then go to your fancy steak house and just eat one steak you slacker.

to be honest, if it's fogo-like, then I wouldn't mind doing that at all.

I've been to the one in San Antonio, and it was pretty good.

We went last night. Everything was ridiculously good. Food, service, wine, decor, etc. If you use a coupon at all (i.e. the 50% or 25% from the e-club) you're getting way more than your money's worth. The quality of everyhing was very high. You do have to remember to turn your car back over or you'll have a pound of meat on your plate in less than a minute. I even liked the bananas - and I normally HATE bananas.

Texas de Brazil

Of course - now I want to go to a Fogo and see what it's like.

ETA: The bf HATES buffets but didn't mind this one at all
