It also seems to me that men in prison aren't in a hurry to risk their lives to keep a fellow prisoner from being buttf'ed. You're basically trying to stay alive and not get buttf'ed yourself.

This is why prisoners form gangs and crap.....to either defend themselves from getting buttf'ed or killed or to buttF and kill others.

And Andy's friends didn't seem like the gang type anyway.

This post makes the most sense.

Red and Andy were friends at the time. Granted, their relationship developped more later, but there was a mutual liking. Red and his group, were powerless against the Sisters. They were passive, didn't want to be labeled as trouble makers(by guards), and were just not present. It is prison afterall. The Sisters always struck when Andy was alone. Two years of agony..

But just as Jesus was persecuted....so was Andy.
I agree with this..

Further, I can't overstate the impact a new defensive coordinator will make.
I think because the known 6th and 7th men are going overseas for the big payday, a guy like G. Temple can slip his way onto an NBA roster.

Ash Wed Options

For those of you who can't eat meat because of Ash Wed., what are your dining options today?

I'm thinking sushi for lunch.

Any good fish sandwiches around?

Being that they haven't played neither team, let's use Rayville as an example. Parkview (at home) beats Rayville 42-19. On the other hand, Richwood (on the road) beats Rayville 46-14. I know this can't be used as a reliable reference, but it the only way I found to compare Richwood and either team you mentioned.

Big deal. The JV gave up 2 more points and scored 4 more points.

What was the first quarter score?
Second quarter score?
Was it raining?
What week was it?
Any injuries?

My point is comparing a game between Team A v. Team B to a game where it was Team B v. Team C is rarely a reliable predictor of the outcome of Team A v. Team C. (matchups are different, along with the other factors i mentioned earlier)

FYI, Home field is not that big of a deal unless you are playing in a large enough stadium where noise could be a factor.

Parkview wins by 14. I Watched both teams play and parkview looks like the team to beat.

You're acknowledging that Parkview is good, but do you realize that Parkview beat Cecilia on the last play of the game two years in a row?

Marcus Wiltz ... name you will soon learn.

That's not unusual, at least it wasn't when I worked retail 13 years ago. The weekday shift people restocked and merchandised everything (or, if they were lazy, stood around and talked). Sales were made on the weekends, on holidays when people were off, and of course, during the Christmas season. I can remember being thrilled if I hit the $100-$300 mark on weekdays.

I agree. There's a reason it is called black Friday. That is the day that you get out of the red and into the black (and it's almost at year's end).

Oh and about Cold Stone -- I had to wait almost an hour to be served at the Burbank location. Sure there's a good bit of overhead. But with only one employee working you can realize some decent profit on a Sunday afternoon. If you want ice cream you will wait.

re: Lafayette sushi

A friend of mine eats sushi in Lafayette just about every day. Sure he'll probably die of iodine poisoning or some shite, but I digress.

He sweats "Tokyo Live" like nothing else. He said it's by far better than any other sushi he's had in Lafayette and Baton Rouge.

Do you guys read the papers???? The guy has been HURT!

That's because he has a glass jaw.

Billy Miller is always catching the ball in space and on the run. He's impressed the hell out of me this season. I also watched him block yesterday. HE is a solid blocker.

Mark Campbell is a damn good run blocker and one of the more underrated players on the team.

Shockey... always catches the ball at a dead stop (with minimal YAC), has two fumbles that arguably cost us two games, is a scatter brain on the field (Brees bitched him out again yesterday), and I think is a distraction in general.
I was a fan of bringing him in, but now I don't think it was a good move.

You can put that stuff on a turd and I'd eat it.

Are you sure it was MNF ?
Canes doesn't list nutritional facts. (Shocker)
From other websites, I found the following:

1 Chicken Finger = 127 calories and 7g fat
X 3

1 Slice of toast is 120 calories and 1 g fat
X 2 (this doesn’t seem right, bc store bought texas toast has at least 5 to 6 grams of fat per slice)

Sauce is anyone’s guess, but it has a mayo base which can’t be good.

Conservatively, I’d say 900 calories.
