I'm curious if there will be a special "Baton Rouge Burger" like Magazine Street has its "NOLA" version (creole mustard sauce, shredded leaf lettuce, fried green tomato, mayo & aged Swiss on an egg bun). The website with Corporate location sinks to the New Orleans menu.
The burger is alright in a pinch but there are other burgers I like better so I usually end up with a chicken sandwich. If wanting different than regular fries, Smashburger goes a good job with its fry options including sweet potato, smashfries, and others. It's also distinguishable from Five Guys in that it offers shakes.
Today was first time I looked at NOLA menu in some time and there's some stuff I do not remember on there, including a black bean burger and debris fries. I'm amused debris fries exist because roast beef is no where else on the menu...

Smashburger is pretty good. They have a chicken sandwich on the menu that I would order again.

We have one in Shreveport, the burgers are forgettable and the fries were the greasiest things I have ever semi digested.
To amend this the first time I went it was decent, one of those places you stop in when you are craving a burger but don't have that special place near. The second time I went was disgusting. I will give them one more try one day just to give them the 2 of 3 chance.

Their fry options kind of set them apart (and set it off when I partake)

Why can't we just get an In N Out ?

I like Mooyah much better than 5 guys...
This.
I'm turned off by the amount of salt or seasoning that Five Guys uses on their fries.
Nonetheless, Mooyah, Smashburger and Five Guys are all better than In-N-Out, which is popping up all over in areas of Dallas and Austin.

I like Smashburger, it's probably my favorite of the boutique burger chains.

Mooyah is the best out of those three. Smashburger is very similar to Five Guys, which is also good.
For those mentioning Burgersmith...The other three options are better. Both times I have been to BS, the patty was hard and dry. It wasn't terrible, but the others are simply better...and not as freaking expensive. A burger meal at BS was 17 after taxes and tip...not worth it!

Thanks. I now feel safe in saying I like it too.
I dig the place.

I like both 5 Guys and Mooyah, they're interchangeable to me. I'm sure Smashburger will be pretty similar. Whichever one is the closest is the one I'd go to if I'm in the mood for a burger like that.

People seem to get pretty riled up about burgers on here, but no need to live in fear!
