I see restaurants with "marscapone" a lot. It's MASCARPONE.
I also hate when Italian restaurants put "MANJA!" or "MONJA!" on their menus/advertising. The correct spelling is Mangia.

You can make them online. Weekends are pushed out until July sometime.

Average dinner for two will be a minimum of $200 and they can't even spell the items on the menu correctly.

I said before in either this thread or the one on the OT, I'm not going to shite on these people for trying.
But the spelling errors on the menu suggest that they aren't trying.
Don't come out and say that this will be top-tier, done right, unlike anything BR has ever seen...and misspell words on the menu.
Either way, I have a reservation out in July, hopefully by then they'll pick a spelling of "heirloom" and be consistent with it throughout the menu.

This seems like an un-sexy version of Justine in NOLA. Just drive the hour and do it right.

I hope that's not the $195 Wagyu Tomahawk. Thing looks terribly over cook and unappetizing. But the rest looks pretty damn good!

I'm an editor... I'll happily correct their current/future grammatical errors if they pay me the same rate

No. No it does not.

$18 for au poivre sauce? Is it made with Remy Martin Louis XIII?
"Arm Candy" is expensive.

Wife and I went tonight and had a great time. We aren't "foodies." I would describe us as drinkers and people just looking to enjoy ourselves. Definitely a place that would be more fun with friends, rather than intimate-ish as I would describe somewhere like Ruth's. Fun, but not over-the-top atmosphere. Our server was awesome. Food was good. Two apps, two filets, two shareable sides, glass of wine and three cocktails and bill was a little over $200.
this fricking board sometimes....Jesus

To be fair, there's big difference between $200 a couple and $600 a couple that someone said earlier in the thread.

The pictures of the dishes in this thread are not even close to being worthy of a $200 meal. You don't have to be a foodie to see that.
I never root for someone who takes a risk to fail, but they really need to step up if they want to survive. Plating is pathetic.

The presentation and pictures (and maybe even the lazy misspellings) are basically what you would expect from such a boringly conceptualized menu.
It all seems like, let's take everything that we can think of that was 'of the moment' in various food scenes 10-15 years ago, put all of them on our menu and we will sell ourselves as "hip" and make a killing for a spell with our "hip" restaurant concept to go along with it.
The more you look at that menu, coupled with the pics, the more you realize there is just no rhyme or reason to those assortment of dishes otherwise. I mean, when was the last time anyone thought "Chilean Sea Bass" was a noteworthy menu item for a new place opening and wanting to "make a splash"?

Looking at the pictures, serving sizes look small and pricey. $30 for a boneless leg quarter and mash potatoes...
The restaurant is a bit of a contradiction.
"Exclusive, vegas style, restaurant" - forget that vegas is kind of a tacky place anyway, which makes "arm candy" and side pieces more at home i guess, but none of the dishes matches anything else. They are serving up very basic grill fare along with a daquiri colostomy bag. With that kind of "eccentric" drinks, i'd expect some sort of gastro-science-y type place.
I mean, poking fun at restaurants isn't a new thing, and yes we should give them a chance, but the menu, article on the place, and then the combination of spelling errors, contradictions, and out of place expectations makes this an easy target.

For a place trying to be hip and expensive and conceptual this plating is arse. Like I plate better for a normal weeknight dinner at home bad.

Sometime in the mid 90s when they renamed it from Patagonian toothfish

Nothing says fine dining like french fries and grilled cheese dumplings.
