Subway has really jacked up their prices

I hadn’t eaten there in forever. I’m pretty sure the child molester guy was still their spokesman the last time I had one of their shitty sandwiches. I went there today and their subs are like 7 or 8 fricking dollars. That’s not even including chips and a drink.
What the hell is wrong with this country? Subway is not even good!!! Cheap shite is way overpriced these days, even a 40 ounce malt liquor is like 5 dollars.

Yeah they got rid of that 5$ deal and when they did I stopped going
The meal combo on mine and gf's food was 22$ and she didn't even get the footlong until bed later that night

They really devalued their product 4 or so years ago with the $5 footlong promos.
Most food places in general are suffering from high costs of meats and cheeses. Subway however sells deli meats, which are a little more stable than chicken and steak for example. So they raise prices.

Go to a bakery and buy some fresh bread, then go to a deli and buy some meat and cheese, and a grocery store for the rest like condiments and lettuce and veggies. Now you have all the ingredients to make it yourself at a much lower cost.

Franchises don't have to do it nationally anymore but around BR area and AP, the Black Forest Ham and cold cut sammich is still $5 footlong.
It's just not advertised.
The key is just get sammiches and go get a fricking polar pop around the corner. They absolutely frick you with combos. The kids do this routine with me a few times a quarter.

If you buy just average quality of all of this you're walking out of any decent grocery store with a $50 receipt.
Subway is still cheap. It's not 2002 anymore.
