My wife gripes constantly about the quality of Thai food in Baton Rouge.

Kingbob, you can't find a good cheap burger in BR? Roul's? Spanish Town Grocery? Downtown Seafood? That BP Station on Perkins, kind of across the street from Willow Grove? Dixie Maid? Those are all good burgers you can get for $7 or less...

I've had a few ok ones, but the only good and cheap one I've tasted is the Ida Burger, which is in Port Allen.

Have you tried Duang Tawan on Sherwood? Not the best I have ever had, but IMO the best in town.

Also, obligatory Rama shoutout.

We've been to both. I'm a big fan of Thai Pepper, that's my go-to. She used to hate that place, but last time we went, she said it was a lot better.

Tibby's, baw. Place is legit. Don't care too much for their gumbo or red beans, but their poboys and shrimp creole are on point. Beginets are spot on as well. Never been to the one in Orlando, but just opened one not 5 minutes from my house in the Tampa area.

I recently decided to make this myself because BR is so lacking and these are my favorite style of sandwiches. I'll let you know how it goes.

Ruston had legit soul food joints. Not sure if it's still there but Blue Light was my jam.
