Smoking a lot of meat this weekend and looking to do something besides the traditional beans and potato salad to go with it all. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

It's the best time of year for a maque choux. Also peas, beans, squash etc.

Haven't seen pasta salad mentioned yet. Broccoli and bacon salad. Baked beans.

This. If he's smoking a pork butt, this makes a great pulled pork sandwich.

I like cheese grits and collards, especially if I’m smoking brisket. No rhyme or reason, that’s just what I like with it.

My favorite side with BBQ is dirty rice. I usually buy a frozen container of Savoie’s mix then add my own ground beef and seasonings before mixing with rice.

Not one person said Slaw. For beef I like a vinegar slaw and mayo slaw with pork. I would also recommend a Caprese salad style with some homegrown tomatoes, motz, basaltic and oil vinegrette.
