The preference in our house is seafood. We put okra in both the seafood and Chicken/sausage gumbo. This is the ONLY time we put tomato in our gumbo, that comes with the okra we can.
I do not like to mix seafood with anything but other seafoods. Use tasso in the bird and link cooking but not in seafood. That's the way I like them.

Love both but will take a good seafood gumbo over C&S any day.

I like my own C&S better than my own seafood, but love many good seafood gumbos.

Chicken and sausage is the king for me. I typically have several gallons of it in my freezer at any one time so I can go from "man, some gumbo would be good" to "man, this gumbo is good" in under a half hour.

Seafood, though, has a special place around the holidays for me because I equate that with my mom and grandmothers making big pots of it for Christmas gatherings. It's really the only time I crave it over chicken and sausage.

Prairie Cajun, but not one of those Yankee prairie Cajuns from up around the Vile Plate or one of those web-footed Cajuns from the marsh. I'm equally as comfortable wringing a chicken's neck as I am throwing a cast net for shrimp.

Chicken and sausage all day every day and I like seafood gumbo. Chicken and sausage gumbo just has a rich flavor that's awesome.

Prefer Seafood - Chattanooga, TN

Usually do just shrimp and crab claw meat up here though, usually throw some mild sausage in there too cause we don’t have great seafood options up here. Wish I could get my hands on good gumbo crabs, claws, and oysters and I would toss the sausage. Crab meat can be a gumbo killer up here, that is why I stick with claw meat.

Both are fine with me though, won’t say no to either.
