I think you are underestimating how much damage social media can do to a business. And your interpretation of my use of the term "investor" is more narrow than mine. These threads can affect paychecks.

Fratelli's in Prairieville. And it's not because I don't support them, because I do. And it's not because of a poor product or bad customer service, because the product they always put out is fresh, the owner is engaged and friendly and the staff is sufficiently trained.

But it's only because of that location. I truly hope they can overcome it as I would love nothing more than seeing a hard working and honest business man do well in that spot.

Bergeron’s is awesome. Really good plate lunches. Not the cheapest but still very fair for what you get.

Agreed, however I don't mind paying for it because the restaurant is always clean, the servers are very social and make you feel welcomed and the food is consistently good.

Sam's Southern Eatery

I've never eaten there, so I can't speak to food or service quality.

However, they moved from a restaurant graveyard on Jones Creek to a restaurant graveyard on Sherwood Forest (the former Brewbacher's & Uncle O's among others).

I wish them luck, however.

Agree. Food is decent but their service is horrible. With Bao less than a mile away, goodnight sweet Prince

Sushi place by Essen and Perkins
Marina's
Street Breads
Bullfish
Brecks

I hope it doesn't because I like it but my longshot is Halal Guys

Is this place legit?

My wife’s coworker recommended it, kept telling us where it was but there is zero signage on Airline. I finally saw the sign on Old Jefferson.

The new sushi place on Perkins/staring. Used to be a Calanders and a few other places. Not only is the location horrible, there’s 3 other sushi restaurants on that intersection.

I see this has been mentioned

Also, whatever is in that horrible location on One Calais drive off Essen. It blows my mind that people continue to try to make the location a restaurant

Kind of surprised they have lasted as long as they have tbh but their product is fairly good. I thought Jimmy John's would have put them out by now but something tells me they make it a few more years.

Omi? It's lauded round these parts but even so the parking lot always seems empty.

I think it and that horrible Jimmy Johns location are trying to hold on till the Children's Hospital opens in 2019.

Interesting, I’ve someone missed all those threads. I was just basing that off of the parking lot constantly being empty

we lost several in Lafayette the last couple of months.
Sakaya. The only reason I can fathom that they're still in business is because they paid $900,000 for the building and just won't let it go. I tried it once and the food is unfortunately mediocre at best. I'm still scratching my head as to why they plopped themselves down into a plethora of established sushi places within walking distance...Tokyo, Samurai, Tsubaki, Shinto. It's sad too because every time I pass by, it's only the same blue car and same red truck in the parking lot, which are the owners/workers. Extremely slow turnover and raw fish do not make for a good equation. I almost wish they'd put themselves out of their misery and move on.

They picked one of the worst locations of all times in Lafayette, the old Copeland's building which is IMPOSSIBLE to access via left turn if coming from the South on Ambassador. It also didn't help that they had a sign saying "World's Best Pizza"

Guy saying Your Mom's and Fuzzy's is just being lazy. Both places have steady business and are inexpensive enough to keep the business coming. Your Mom's does a ton of Waitr business as well.
