Disclaimer: this thread is for entertainment purposes only and does not necessarily represent the opinions of TD.

I reviewed the 2017 thread and was pleasantly surprised to find very few prognostications come to fruition (Table may have been the only one, didn't see anyone mention pei wei or on the border).

Well it is a new year to make your predictions!

Ava Street Cafe on Essen. Decent Vietnamese but we all now that location is a death trap; simply not enough accessibility during the weekday and no one hangs out on Essen on the weekends. I'm sure rent is exorbitant as well.

Not sure about BR, but we lost several in Lafayette the last couple of months.

Would anyone investing in a restaurant in BR appreciate this thread? I just hate to see these started...paychecks can be affected by this type stuff.

I predict La Contea. Went once and it was okay, but more importantly that shopping center is nestled behind a bank and coffee shop.

Good one. I’m surprised DeAngelo’s made it there for so many years.

Do you actually think an investor will take the words of an internet stranger and not do their own homework? We make very basic observations here not market studies or have any idea what the businesses' finances are. dont be so ignorant.

La Contea full menu prices are pretty high. Their lunch is good and it's like 8 bucks. Chicken parm, garlic knots, salad. I think pastas without meat are $7

Edit: The low lunch prices might not help them either necessarily. Pricing themselves out.

Good to know. I live nearby, but always find myself forgetting about that place. They have a ton of soup to buy.

How is Lee’s hamburgers on Sherwood Forest doing? I rarely see the parking lot busy.

Never went after reading a few reviews here. Heard it's expensive for what you get. Might try it one day just to know for sure

I heard somewhere that they do a decent amount of catering type business, if I'm thinking of the same spot. Don't know for sure, though.

My 100% bet the mortgage on it pick is whatever is currently in the old Uncle O's spot on Sherwood. That location is cancer.

That one's a shame. I've ordered them from Waitr several times and have always thought they have a good product.

heard good things too but with 3 other popular and well established sushi restaurants within literally a quarter mile of you and a location that's impossible to get in and out of, doesn't look good.
