Rusty Pelican has pretty good burgers. Rips is good but never been there for lunch. I like Times.

Ponchartrain Po-Boys is "Closed on Saturday's."

Rusty Pelican or drive to Abita and hit up Abita Brew Pub.

The Brew Pub has a better menu and better beer.

I second the Rusty Pelican... good poboys, onion rings, and fried pickles

Never ever go there for Sunday brunch. Otherwise, good food.

Rusty Pelican is good. Or anywhere along the lakefront. That’s all I got, I usually eat in Covington when on the northshore so not sure what Mandeville has.

I believe it has shut down. Last 2 times I ate there it was bad. So I'm not surprised.

Cafetomas is solid if you want to sit outside.

Bistro Byronz is always good.

Jack's Bistro has good sandwiches, and Leonardo's in the same shopping center has good pizzas.

Triple Nickel for burgers.

If it's not raining though, sitting on the patio at Pat's is pretty hard to beat when the temperature is in the 70's.

Good point. Same with triple nickel. I never found this to be a big deal until I had kids. If I’m dropping $100 on lunch I’d rather relax and let someone else get the drinks, utensils etc. Ordering at the counter w kids sucks as well.

For good food and atmosphere, Pat’s Restawhile on a nice day. If the weather is questionable there is Rip’s and Appertif right on the lake. Appertif is the more expensive option.

Rusty Pelican is just up the road too and has good food but as mentioned has counter service.

All of these places are within 5 minutes of each other.

If you’re there a little earlier and want breakfast, you can’t beat Liz’s in my opinion. She also has a smash burger place out back but I haven’t tried it yet.
