Six RC bottle caps could get kids into the Tiger theater for a Saturday matinee of old cartoons and black and white B movies when I was growing up.

We would trade them at K&B for candy

Toward the end of the trading of caps for candy I believe this one took 12 caps

RC is what was on their soda guns at the bar
that was true of most of the bars I worked at 80s/90s. The canisters of RC syrup were quite a bit cheaper than coke. Pepsi as we all know is never an option at any price.

I absolutely make a point of looking for it in a convenience store and will always buy it if I find it.

Sadly, it’s become harder and harder to find.

That might be their biggest problem. You can't just pop into a Circle K or a Racetrac and find them. Grocery stores have them but they are not cold.

Dammit. Now I have to go out and get some to bring back memories of my childhood.

always preferred RC to Coke, haven't had one in.... probably 20 years or more

haven't had one of these in 20+ years either but Publix house brand "coke" used to be pretty damn good too

couldn't stand Double Cola though, always tasted flat

RC was my favorite as a kid with Pepsi runner up. I only liked Coke when they changed to the 'New Coke' in '85. Guess b/c it tasted more like RC and Pepsi to me. To each his own though !

Haven't had RC in years. Next time I come across one I'll have to give it a try.

Hadn't had one of these since the 80's. Great every now and then for a change of pace.

Also didn't care for Sprite, always preferred

An ice cold Nehi orange is a real treat. I've only seen them on Amazon. I got a dozen for Christmas last year.

First time I ever had it, it was breakfast every day (Along with a Moon Pie) north of Osan AFB for a week. But there's almost no fat in a Moon Pie, mom says. Never had one since.

the flavor isn't the same as when i was growing up.

and i LOVED RC. drank the hell out of it as a kid; more than coca cola.

funny how certain scents or tastes stay with you forever and you can tell if they're not the same 50 years on.
