Anyone been to Cartel Tacos on David Dr? Not my usual area, happened to drive by and it caught my eye. ETA actual name is Tacos Del Cartel

I don't think they're open yet. I would be interested in reports of taco shops around New Orleans/ Metairie, also.

Not a taco shop per se, but Mawi (tortilla maker) has delicious ceviche and pupusas.

Taqueria La Coyota has a second 'location' on St Claude in Bywater. Their lower 9th truck is worth going out the way for.
Want to check out the new place on Tchoup, El Cucuy. Looks like one of the fancy street taco places that keep popping up.

Agreed, the one behind Home Depot on Claiborne is lame. Barracuda on Tchopitoulas is really good.

It gets a ton of hype, but I have never been blown away by it. Not worth stopping when I go to Home Depot.
Also, new truck on Claiborne just as you enter the lower 9th. Supposed to be legit, but I haven't had a chance to stop.

Taqueria Sanchez near Clearview and I-10 is my go-to in Jefferson Parish.
