Meanwhile.......on a levee in River Ridge an elderly woman with a broken hip and walker overtakes and passes me on the levee.

So I'm kind of excited today. A week in, I've lost just under 5 pounds and was able to wear a dress today that I tried on about 3 weeks ago and couldn't even zip! And had some wiggle room I'm hoping I can do about the same next week!

Awesome! You are obviously young. When you get older, it comes off painfully slow.

BUT, I have lost 17 pounds since Feb. 12! No cheating. 24 more to go.

170/160/150 (2-28-2011 3rd commitment)

rarely lose on a weekend but no significant cheats other than doubling up on the scotch.

Well, Hulk. I'm in your club. My mom died this morning. On my father's 91st birthday.

I'm so sorry to hear that. My sincerest condolences. Although I stuck with my diet throughout it all, nobody expects anyone to. You need to be with your family and support each other. If you break the diet, do not worry about it and just hop on that horse later. The last thing you need right now is any guilt.

Sorry to hear that. As we told Hulk, just take care of you and your family and don't stress over the diet.

Prayers sent and once again very sorry for your loss.

Sorry to hear about your mom. I just said a little prayer for you and your family.

By the way, this thread is good for more than diet support. The way everyone came together and supported Hulk during his loss was one of the things that really attracted me to this thread. Come on in whenever you need a little encouraging.

Sounds like everyone had pretty positive reports on the diets. good job everyone.

Cad, I'll just go ahead and assume you would have won the whole thing if not for the trouble with your gears and the stoppage for the women's race. Sounds like this thing could have been designed a little better if they had to stop riders in one race to let other riders cross. Anyway, congrats on the good finish. Way to show those carb lovers.
