Ive worked my way up to being able to walk on my treadmill at 3.5 mph at 12 degrees for an hour and a half. Man that will make you sweat. I've gotten this the last couple weeks and I do it five days a week. I'm going to start back riding my bike now as well since the weather is getting better and I've been doing pushups and keep 12 pound dumbbells in the shower. Feels good. Weight is leveled off some and I need to get about 35 more off but I can tell the body is getting more toned even without the weightloss.

I also downloaded a free app called Lose It on my IPhone. I post exercise and foods and it keeps track of calories, proteins, fats burned and intake. I recommend it.

One more new item. I've been getting the McDonalds oatmeal a few times a week during the day, minus the fruit because I don't like cold fruit in my hot oarmeal. 290 calories and it'll fill you up for awhile for 2 bucks. They sell it as long as they are open not just for breakfast.

Good to see the OP alive and kicking even though you eat that grape gravel for breakfast.

I've changed to the Kashi Go Lean Crunch. My dentist recommended the change as easier on the teeth. Actually its a great cereal.

Just really starting to feel better. I had a small filet at a dinner party last night. First red meat in a long time. I've been pretty much on chicken, fish and vegetables with no bread, pasta or rice. Man my stomach reacted accordingly and my colon did as well.

I heard that the McD's oatmeal is loaded with sugar and actually not good for you.

38 carbs which is just about the same as most breakfast cereal. Maybe slightly higher than most but only slightly.

I'm hanging in there. Mr. CT keeps eating luscious desserts in front of me. Luckily, it doesn't bother me that much, even though I am a sugar lover.

Factor sugar and carbs together, that's what I was talking about.
If you take all of the fruits out, it still has 14g of sugar, or 28% of your daily recommended sugar intake (for what the government advises anyway) plus 38g of carbs which also turn to sugar.

But I have heard it's quite tasty.

anything that makes oatmeal tasty has to be bad for you. My prefernce is lots of cinnamon sugar. Thankfully its not part this high protein-low carb plan.

well i had a BLAST last night. on tues nights they open the nashville motor speedway for road bikes. we ran pacelines and time trials and chased each other around and in general had a blast until the rain came and made the banked curves too slick and dangerous.

anyway there were some dsmn strong riders there...i may clearly be in over my head on ssturdays race.

but....257/197.9/185!! stall is broken! next goal....Chase myth all the way to 185
I'm under 200 for first time in several years!

3 week weigh-in:

265/250/190

I'm really happy with the 5 lbs. I lost in the 3rd week. The only problem is that I lost all 5 in the first 2 days of the week, then nothing for 5 days.

I am starting to have more energy and feel better, so I think I'll start adding some exercise this week.

Thanks, CAD. Sounds like you really made lifestyle changes.

I've lost 20 lbs. in 3 weeks and it looks like the easy part is over. I haven't eaten anything but grilled chicken, fruits, and vegetables in the past 10 days. No milk, cheese, bread, or sweets at all. Lost a lot of weight fast and now I'm on 235 for the 4th straight day.

I was hoping to make it to 230 with this initial burst before I'd have to start exercising.

Oh well, here we go with phase 2.

I lost 21 in 4 weeks.. Stopped losing in the 3rd week and started towards the end of the last week, so it's going to get frustrating. But once it starts again it'll continue melting away.

Cad

Congrats on the 200 barrier being shattered. Oh and

I see how devious you are. All that damn bike talk to get me to get my own bike so I would be slowed to a crawl with muscle gain in my legs. Pretty sneaky, Cad.

I thought you should know what a rotten little bastard he is. He has owed me a hot dog for a year now. Now I can't eat it unless I ditch the bun . . . .
