Starting to get back on track, had to lose some 4-days-in-New-Orleans weight this week, lost what I had gained and a couple of extra pounds. Hit the gym pretty hard Tuesday and planning to go in the morning, and will make an effort to find some exercise time this weekend, even if it's jyst getting out and jogging around the 'hood. Had 2 birthdays this week, dodged some major bullets with dinners out and cake but managed to stick to the diet and say no to cake( well, I may have had a little taste of the icing on one but that didn't count,lol)
Goals this week;
Stick to eating protein At every meal, with one carb or less per day...
Hit the gym/ exercise at least 4 times
Drink more water, less diet dr pepper
Steer clear of ALL sugar!

At that rate, you must be getting pretty old. That's worse than dog years.

170/161.5/150
BP used to be above 120/80 consistantly, now 118/74 consistently. haven't had bloodwork done but keeping the faith. I'm not interested in being a statin slave again.
eta: 2nd day comfortably in size 32 slacks

impressive hulk!ive only lost 60 and it took over a year. great start and I'm sure its dang motivating to you.

roll6tide, were you in New Orleans with a group of guys that will be going to Brazil?
Posted on 3/31/11 at 8:45 am to CAD703X
Thanks guys, it's very motivating. It's not going as fast as the first 2 weeks of induction but I seem to be losing a pound every 2-3 days, so probably 3 pounds a week, which I can live with. I haven't gone exercising the past couple of days.. I went swimming 7 days in a row though so I wanted a little break but I need to get back on that horse. It's now too cold to go swimming (darn cold front) so I'll have to take up walking until it warms up.
Even more motivating than the weight going down though is the way my clothes are fitting. I've dropped 2 holes in my belt, only 1 notch left. My shirts are getting loose and I tried on a 2x instead of 3x and it was still a little too tight, but I say another month or so and I'll be down another shirt size as well. Last weekend I went see Sucker Punch with a lady friend and I wore a shirt I haven't worn comfortably in over a year. The last time I wore it was about 6 months ago and the buttons were ready to burst off

I'm in! I was referred by the OT and have been reading this all morning.... I'm the typical "let herself go" case... When my husband proposed 2 years ago I weighed 43 pounds less than I do now!!! I want it gone.... Been eating better and working out this week so hopefully I'm off to a good start

Welcome aboard and congrats! Most here will recommend Atkins but as long as it comes off you're doing great. This place is great for support and venting frustrations. We're all open and honest here, nobody will make fun of you. This is a vastly different place than the OT.
