I have no idea why. I didn't take anything last night, and I thought I slept okay. I'm super groggy. What were you drinking?

that would be good. the more exercise you can do... the better your results. But you will be going into a bigger calorie deficit and need to up them some or you will be back in starvation mode

Today for lunch I am eating 2 grilled pork chops. I am guessing they are 8 oz but not sure they are boned in and there were 7 in a 3.34 lb package.

Still around and keeping up the no coffee/alcohol for Lent. The first day was a mild headache in the afternoon but since has been great. No tiredness and if I remember to have my breakfast steak, I go all day without thinking of food until dinner. There are too many advantages to being fat adapted.

I think I would consider this a winning week for me...

Started March 1 207
March 10 195 (-12)
Today 193 (-2)

Hopefully I can keep this going!!!

Noticing some shirts not being as tight and khaki pants not as hard to button.

I'm out of my regular routine this week, but still doing okay. I'm at a body painting conference most of this week in the city, so being creative on the fly without meal prep to fall back on, but so far staying under my carb limits.
Had a headache/neck pain and was super tired all day yesterday, but I'm pretty sure it was because of long days and being off my routine.
Still sleepy today, but at least the headache is gone. Oh and lost another pound and a half, so don't 5.5 so far I think.

Today's Commerce Low Carb Special: Eggplant Lasagna

I was expecting something with tomato style sauce, but this tasted good too. Not sure exactly what was in it. Seemed like chunks of pork, italian sausage, eggplants, misc other vegetables, and cheese.

Missed my week 2 weigh in on Monday because I was at a resort with the family. Ate clean the whole time and had a few glasses of wine. Will weigh myself on Monday for the 3 week update.

I'm a face and body painter, it's a learning/jam/networking thing for face and body artists. Think SI swimsuit stuff, but usually more elaborate and sometimes more abstract, and sometimes on dudes, but usually girls.
The keto kicker is that this one is here in town, and most of the participants are from out of town/country, and Louisiana folks aren't happy unless they're feeding someone so LOADS of carbs are hanging around this week.

How's everyone doing this week?

Like crap. It's really difficult for me the past few months with the flood, my parents losing everything, my mom dying and then my dad almost dying. Operated in crisis mode for close to 3 months and now everything is crashing.

I wish I was one of those people who fasted when they were stressed, but, NOOOOOO, I have to be one of those people who binge on sugar and carbs.

I guess the good thing is I'm aware of it and ready to start working on my diet. Just really difficult for me right now.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Thanks. I need to find some really good snacks. Things I can have at my desk or nearby at home and munch on. I like nuts, but they can be way too high in calories if I eat too many and if I liked munching on carrot and celery sticks, wouldn't be an issue anyway.

For breakfast I usually have grits and sausage with coffee. Switched to regular half and half instead of flavored creamer.

Then it's all downhill.

I get that totally. But it's kind of a cycle, because then you feel worse because you are worse. It helps to focus on smaller victories I think, and when you get one meal right you feel better, and one day right, even better, and it makes the other stuff seem a little less stressful, because you can control this one thing, so it helps you to be confident about the other stuff that is out of your hands.
You got this.

I'm so sorry, NoHo :( that's enough to make even the strongest person lose it. It's so much in such a short period of time.

Some of the advice is trite, but I've had this article bookmarked on my phone for 2 years, & read it when I'm feeling low.
