Up here in Virginia...Popeyes is far superior to the North Carolina based so called Cajun Chicken joint, Bojangles.

Bojangles does suck

I'm so used to Popeye's being the worst service around, now I just expect and accept it. The food is so good that I can endure the bad service. We just check the bags before we leave. Not a hassle because we usually open the boxes in the car anyway because it keeps everything from getting soggy (releases the steam).

The Popeyes that I go to here is great. They get it right all the time. It's the one on Country Club. The service is decent. It's not Chick Fil A service but it's nothing to complain about.

The one near the mall on Prien is kinda hit and miss.

I've been to a few Popeyes where my order was fixed and on the counter before I even paid.

Whatever happened to the Popeyes buffet in/around New Iberia? It was close to where the state baseball tournament was held.

No wonder you want to move up north...

The Popeyes in Beaverton gives pretty good service, but it's expensive as hell. I think the Popeyes in the Atlanta airport it cheaper than the Popeyes in Beaverton...

That's sad. I mean, it's "fast food" fried chicken.

Burbank dr is the worst popeyes I have been to. Transcontinental is better than the Williams location too.

I'm not ashamed to say I can't fry chicken as good as Popeye's. Their batter is impeccable every time. Fast food fried chicken or not, it's excellent for what it is.

It's the best damn fried chicken anywhere. And their onion rings are the best. Love their red beans too. Who gives a frick if it is fast food. Fast food has its place - and Popeyes beats the hell out of somewhere like McDonalds.

Anyone who has ever fried their own chicken knows there is no way to do "fast food" fried chicken on a bone

5'11" - 175 lbs., baw.
Are you seriously telling me you never eat fast food? If you're on the way home from an 8 hr. out of state drive with the family, you would really rather have to cook when you get home or go to a nice restaurant? Hell no - you pull up to the Popeye's drive-thru and grab a big box of chicken with biscuits and a couple sides.

Yep. It's my go to on busy work days when we have dance, soccer or tball depending on season, homework all in the same day.

Big box of chicken, sides, and biscuit can get us dinner, breakfast for the kiddos the next morning, and lunch for me the next day.

Never? No, but I can't tell you the last time that I have. I also generally now stay away from fried foods. Tons of other convenient choices where I am other than a fast food drive-through.

I switched to a low carb diet several months ago due to type 2 diabetes. And even with that being the case, if you're not enjoying Popeye's fried chicken every now and then, you just ain't living life right no matter what your options are.

You just sound ignorant when it comes to fried chicken.
