Every time I went to the ones in Houston I got exactly what I ordered. Mexicans are such better workers

I go to the one in Henderson, NV on occasion. Have always had a good experience and the folks are friendly.

The last time that I visited home, I went to the Transcontinental location by W. Esplanade in Metry. Whatever swamp things were working there that night acted like they were being put out to serve you...and they were much harder to understand than the Mexicans out here ever were.

Always enjoyed going to the one on Loyola in Kenner back in the day, especially when they had the buffet. Good times.

Popeyes on Loyola in Kenner has good service. Close at 11pm though. Very polite staff.

Got Popeyes a little while ago in Port Vincent... Got the 5 dollar strip box. Get home to 7 tenders, an arse load of fries, and 2 biscuits.

The gods have smiled down upon me this day.

Just pulled up to the drive thru in Prairieville. They're out of chicken. Have to wait for them to cook it. Unreal.

Tonight, the Burbank Popeyes drivethru served me a $5 Favorites box with the correct chicken pieces, spicy as requested, correct side, and they even remembered the biscuit, which was baked just right, and everything was piping hot and fresh. In and out in less than 5 minutes despite 3 cars in front of me.

Same experience, only it was the glorious $5 Big Box tonight. It's been almost four months since I started this thread, and I've been maybe half a dozen times over this period, each visit smooth and correct. The Burbank location has upped its game, bigly. Kudos to management and the hardworking team serving this quality product.

On the way home from a bachelor party I stopped at the abita springs Popeyes. Holy cow, was I impressed. I got the $6 surf n turf garlic shrimp and chicken strips. Piping hot, fries were golden crispy, red beans were rolling and the spicy sauce was dynamite. Felt like a fat arse for the rest of the drive in, but damn that meal was tasty.

You've just been lucky, they've been as shitty as ever the two times my wife and I have gotten food from there. A week ago tonight we "pull(ed) to the side" to wait "7 minutes" for spicy tenders after they handed us the rest of the order.

20 minutes later, with two other vehicles having pulled over to the side as well, my wife went inside to see what had happened with our order. They hadn't cooked any spicy tenders and had none cooking, just basically forgot our order. They have her a box of old, cold spicy chicken instead, to go with the now cold sides.

She unfortunately didn't get the receipt back from the workers, so I couldn't even call the order number in to complain. That location has always had dumpster fire service even when the food is manageable, but this time the food was just gross by the time we got back home.

I dunno, a half dozen good visits in a row over 4 months is a pretty good streak.

How do they find someone that knows how to cook fried chicken? And you are disqualified, the staffing alone would put that one in the Chik-fil-a category.

I hate the old folks meme of back in the day but...

Back in the day, it was even worse. Sure Popeye's can be slow but the Earhart Popeye's used to give you the wrong order about 60% of the time. Sure that sounds like hyperbole but it isn't. Why did we keep going there? Because it was the only place to grab late night vittles after a night of debauchery.

Nowadays, I can't remember the last time I didn't get my order right. Now I just complain about the pigeon size pieces, half empty side items containers and the incredible shrinking biscuit. Oh...and the slow service. That hasn't changed.

Went to Popeyes on Burbank last night and was in an out in probably 7-8 minutes despite having 4 cars in front of me. Lady was nice, food was great. First good service in a lllllong time.

I went through the one on Staring a few weeks back, got the standard 4-piece order, asked for an extra breast instead of the leg (legs suck) and they hooked it up without even charging extra. Plus it was fast and everything was hot.

Shocking experience, really.

Never had a problem in Beaverton (Portland area) and shockingly my not so great experiences are on MLK in Portland.
