Popeyes chicken sandwiches are back!

Most places got a shipment in.
OT thread said the kenner one had it, called a few on the wb and they all had it. Just picked one up for lunch on Belle chasse highway off Terryparkway since I didn't eat today

I don't understand how they just "run out" of these things.
Go to grocery store. Chicken breast, check. Flour, check. Pickles, check. Hamburger buns, check. Popeyes has the resources to buy these items in bulk and then some.
These have to be marinated at Popeyes headquarters or something?
Don't get me wrong, I like the sandwich, I like the crunch of the batter but they don't run out of regular fried chicken. These things have to be assembled at some other place apparently. Or marinated I should say.
It's a good sandwich but I have to take Chick Fil A over it. They never run out of sandwiches and the service is better. Not saying I won't have another one from Popeyes but for me it's

It's probably more like they grossly underestimated how popular the sandwich would be and their supply lines couldn't keep up.
Franchisees operate under a ton of rules, one of which I'm sure is they can't source ingredients from anywhere else.

i got 3 sandwiches and none of them are the OG breast. much thinner
