You must be retarted.. Seriously.

If someone wanted a muffalatta and was handed a sub with olive dressing do you really think they WOULDNT care? The only difference is the bread like they say. Yea you can take a bite and it might taste good but you cant walk away and say they have the best muff around can you?

Might want to also have your blood pressure checked.

Thats fine but you would be pretty confused if you ordered a pizza and they gave you a po-boy and said it was a pizza right? Many places around here MARKET a Sub as a po-boy take your money then give you a sub. If I wanted a sub I would go to Subway. If its on the menu as a Po-Boy then it better be on french bread. If you market it as a NO Po-Boy it better be on NO french bread. Not a hard concept.

So if I go to New Orleans and order Jamabalaya, If it comes out and has tomoatos in it I have send it back cause everyone knows you don't put tomatos in Jamabalaya.

Well there are two known varieties of Jamabalaya Creole and Cajun. Pretty widely known that Creole variety has tomato.

What if the menu doesn't specify which kind it is? I mean, that would be an absolute travesty!

No it wouldnt ignorant a-hole. It would STILL be Jamabalaya. With or without tomato it is still Jamabalaya. Unlike a Po-Boy with NO french bread. Way to continue to make yourself look like an idiot.

Yea its a sandwich NOT a Po-Boy

Well technically its not a sandwich following your standards....

1st Century B.C. - The first recorded sandwich was by the famous rabbi, Hillel the Elder, who lived during the 1st century B.C. He started the Passover custom of sandwiching a mixture of chopped nuts, apples, spices, and wine between two matzohs to eat with bitter herbs. The filling between the matzohs served as a reminder of the suffering of the Jews before their deliverance from Egypt and represented the mortar used by the Jews in their forced labor of constructing Egyptian buildings. Because he was the first known person to do this, and because of his influence and stature in Palestinian Judaism, this practice was added to the Seder and the Hillel Sandwich was named after him.

Cat, where the bread is made could make the difference...back in the 70's (ya ya I know another old folks tale) a friend of mine opened a Beniet place in hammond...they were good but he could never get them just right...he brought some of that good ol river water back from New Orleans...and guess what...they were perfect...Moral of the story...I forget

just to chime in here...people dont travel from around the world to eat a poboy in Baton Rouge/Shreveport/Lafayette or even Darrels in Lake Charles.

They travel from around the world to eat it in New Orleans...

Thank God the Ralphs on Jones Creek has French Bread shipped in everyday from Leidenheimer (sp?) Bakery in New Orleans.

Yall take a minute and learn something new.

Please dont try and teach anyone anything here on this board. There are the people that are hear to find a good recipe and new places to eat and yes learn something about food and then there are people on this board that proclaim Miller Light the best beer in the world and Sammys as the best restaurant in Baton Rouge and have no room in their head for discussion or learning anything new.
