Part time Daycare in BR for a 10 month old - Please keep here.. I trust you guys

I know this is not a Food board topic, but I need help and the OT is, at times, ridiculous.
I have my little girl on a 2-2-3 schedule with her mother. SO 2.5 days a week i need daycare so I can work.
Any suggestions that arent paying full weeks for part time care? It needs to be the full day as well, not 1/2 days.

About the only way you're going to find PT care without paying the FT rate is to have her in someone's home, or to pay an individual to come to your home to supervise her. Do you have any family members (cousins, grandma, aunts) who might be interested in a short term gig? Alternatively, a college student studying early childhood education might be able to accomodate your work schedule around a school schedule.

No family in town that would be interested. My brother is a frittata when it comes to kids. My uncle and aunt fish to much to even ask them, so they wouldn't be consistent.

our nanny was a friend and honestly, a nanny would probably be just as expensive (or more) than paying full price for a daycare

if you know any LSU students, or know anyone who knows some, i'd reach out to them and see if they have friends. anyone in early childhood education would be best, but i'm sure there are a ton of college-aged girls who could help and would love to make extra $$$

I would suggest you sign up for Care.com Its like Angies list for child care. Just dont forget to un-register when you find a nanny or center. My kids go to Kinder Care by OLOL. Some weeks they are part time, some full time. I heard they may be ending the part time option for familes that are not yet enrolled so you may want to call. If you need a place in the mean time there is Playdates on Bluebonnet. Its a drop off daycare. We used them for a few months when we lost our nanny suddenly. Hope this helps

My two girls went to playdates a ton for drop in care. Probably your best bet.

This. I did this the summer before I started college.
Maybe try to lift a worker from a daycare/after school program? That's how I got the job. Two of my kids (siblings) told their mother they liked me as their after care teacher and she offered me more money to watch them in her home all summer instead.
You may be able to find a student with a flexible schedule.

Good luck, a dependable nanny is hard to find, especially one willing to work part time for under full time day care pay.
I know our daycares around here won't do part time til they are older. So you may just have to suck it up and pay full time for awhile til you can find something better.
Does her mother also need daycare? Maybe you two can work something out on setting up full time.
