I had lunch with my wife and sister on Thursday too. Damn, we need name tags, or a secret handshake.

Opie
I ate lunch there with a large group about a month ago. A guy brought a plate of a fried and smothered eggplant dish to show us, as it was the special of the day. Was that you?

Went last week, we started with the sampler appetizer, solid. We had Opie's mustard battered fried catfish and shrimp plate and his father's creation of the crawfish etouffee over fried fish dish, we enjoyed both. Both dishes came with a nice dinner/honey roll.

Am going to take a few friends this next week or so to Opie's, I need to try more of the menu. As have mostly just had his limited menu when out at The Box.

Also had Belue's this week for lunch, love it as well as Parrain's, two of my cajun stuff favs.

Guess I'll have to try Opie's soon. My friend/colleague Samantha used to work there and told me to try it.

She did photos for my wedding. She was my editor at Tiger Weekly, and I took her place when she left, so she was more or less my mentor for a while
