Opie,
I really like your restaurant and will come there often, but here is some unsolicited constructive criticism: The TKO Chicken tastes good, but is quite tough and seems overcooked, the fried pickles are too salty and you could be more generous with the steamed veggie portions.

Should have stopped by tonight, La Caretta really sucked for some reason...their salsa was basically frozen red chunks of tomatoes

One of the guys in our lunch bunch said the fried food was too salty for his taste as well. We are planning a trip next week for lunch to gather more data.

Me and the gf went to Opie's today for lunch and this is what we thought:

Started off with the Blackened Shrimp. They were excellent!

We both got salads with our entree and ate a good bit of them. Only thing I was disappointed with was the lack of tomatoes and cucumbers in them...but other than that they were fresh and tasty.

I got the Blackened Redfish served over rice and topped with a Shrimp and Crawfish sauce. It was freaking awesome.

The gf got the Grilled Chicken Zydeco Pasta and while it was good, we both liked the Redfish better.

She drank a Coke and I got Water.

Total bill: 37.45 (or so) and with tip included it came out to be $44.00.

It was a bit pricey for lunch, but considering we both got Signature dishes and salads and an appetizer, it's really not a bad price.

We both liked our experience and the wait staff was friendly, as usual.

Don't think he's an idiot. I've eaten there a number of times since its close to my house, and have had a handful of bad experiences, usually dealing with burned burgers and what not. Overall, though, it's a good spot.

I've eaten there for lunch about 5 times in the past 2 months or so, and have come away impressed each time, as have the other people who have come with me. Not only is the food very good, but the service has been outstanding each time. Kudos.

Opie,
A buddy of mine picked up a lot of jambalaya from your place for the MTSU game in 07 - some of the best jambalaya I've ever had. I plan on making a visit to your place sometime this month, can't wait to check it out!

Opie, I just got back from having lunch at your place. I was in the area and decided to give it a shot. I got the Zydeco Pasta with grilled shrimp. It was excellent. The service was also outstanding. Keep up the good work and I plan on stopping by again real soon.
