TJ Ribs is hanging by a thread on a dogwater menu with mediocre BBQ. Probably won't exist when all the old heads that frequent it eventually die off.

The waiters were extremely courteous and wore white shirts with black pants. Went there today, the crabmeat augratin was on point.

Do they still have the Mike Anderson’s in Hattiesburg? Wasn’t nearly as good but I used to sometimes stop there on my way from Bham to Baton Rouge..

I believe that place shut down a while back. Only went there once and it really wasn't very good.

Or as Yogi Berra would say “No one goes there nowadays. It’s too crowded.”

Went this past Friday. Got there around 5 and had a 20 min wait. Not bad.

The place looks really nice, they did a good job on the remodeling.
No tv's in the dining areas. Tvs in the bar area, the daquiri area and the patio.

Onion rings were huge and plentiful. Could have used some seasoning other than salt but, they were pretty good.

Shrimp Norman was one of the best dishes I've had in a while. Fried shrimp with crabmeat etouffee. Mostly claw meat but, had some lump crabmeat sprinkled in.

They obviously didn't have any issues hiring staff. There were several folks with the headsets on patrolling the dining areas and a ton of servers. Quick, polite service. Never had to ask for a drink refill.

Not sure I'd go after 6pm or so. When we left there was a ton of people waiting. guessing wait times were well beyond an hour.

I have been to other Mike Anderson's locations around 20 times throughout the years. Last week we went to the Prairieville location for a family birthday dinner and the food and service were amazing. Best Mike Anderson's experience that I can remember.

that seasoning on the Sammy's rings would be perfect.

been back twice since that post.

Both times the etouffee was lighter than i remembered and the vegetables were crunchy. Yesterday, it had a tone of shell pieces. They managed to ruin one of the best entrees i've had.

Wondering if maybe they had changes in the cooking staff?

Prairieville Mike Anderson's is night and day better than the Gonzales location

And yes, the crowds at peak times are out of control.
I still have no idea how Sammy's didn't make it because that location was always packed when it was Sammy's. But I guess Sammy's owner overextended himself and had other issues.
