Brian Kish, president of the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, said only three criteria are considered when picking chefs for Boudin, Bourbon and Beer: whether the chef owns or is executive chef at a restaurant, whether they can serve 1,500 portions of a dish and if they’re willing to cover the cost of their food and staff.

Ok

quote:

"Generally, when they pick a chef in New Orleans who is black it's Leah Chase, and if she can't make it, it's Nina Compton. I want other chefs to be recognized,” he said.

There’s only 3 criteria. Go find the others and recognize them.

There's some irony in there. He writes for PBS, which is funded largely through donations. He's not going to attend/donate because non-white chefs aren't willing to donate 1500 meals. On top of that, he writes a "look at me" piece on why he's not going to an event that raises 1/2 million for charity.

Two tickets to this is now $309.40 with fees

Looked back at my two ticket purchases from 2014 on and it’s $100 total more this year

Exactly.

"I want other chefs to be recognized,” he said."

Then go start your own event, brah, and quit sh!tting on the ones that raises a ton of money for charities.

Todd Price is a cuck of the highest order. I'd love to see how much he gets slid under the table for his reviews. He claims CC Bbq is the best in the city. He definitely has a vendetta against owners.

For my food stories, I only rely on the great Ian McNulty.

Talk about cultural appropriation. More outsiders trying to copy and remix Acadian/Cajun staple foods.
