How do we feel about Nola's IPA they will have in cans soon? Anyone had it? Looks like they are trying to tap into the "juice" market.

If it's one of the 00 series (4-7) should be legit

These days, I'm starting to wonder if double dry hopped automatically means $10-12 for a 4-pack.

What do you mean "how do we feel about" it? These whole preconceived notions about breweries and their beers is what has driven me away from the FBD threads here and all the online beer groups. Everybody wants to have an opinion about a beer or brewery (oftentimes bad) before they even try it.

If you like it, great. If you don't, that's OK too. I'm looking forward to trying it. I'm just glad there are a lot more hoppy options from local breweries now. If this one is good, I'll buy more. If it's not my favorite, there are others available now that I'm happy to drink.

Edit to add: sorry for singling you out here. Just a small example in the larger trend lately.

Does anyone know if this is on tap at the brewery now? I may check it out this weekend.

It was a rhetorical question bro, calm down. I'm not on here everyday so I wasn't sure if this was well received by the people on this board. I respect yall's opinions on beer and wouldn't be buying craft beer if it wasn't for the FBD'ers. Hence the reason for the post.

I'm not sure what you are upset about. Isn't that the point of a board like this? I like to hear opinions on beer.
I will def go try it myself and form my own opinion, but isn't the discussion about things kind of why we are here?

The response is a little odd. Luckily people that aren't in the beer business are talking about and buying craft beer, which is exactly why we are getting the blooms, opus verts, brightsides, grace and grits brewed in our state. Money drives competition and now we are getting good new beers what seems like all the time now.

You might want to try to get over yourself.

I am calm, dammit!

As far as I know, nobody outside of the brewery has tasted it yet. I'm sure there are a few regulars at the taproom who've gotten to taste it. But it's an entirely new beer based on some of the things they took away from the 004 through 007 IPA series.

I won't be able to answer the question "how do I feel about it" until I actually drink the beer. Until then, why should I bother speculating on whether I'll like it or not? I'm not going to let my lukewarm feelings about NOLA's past hoppy offerings cloud my judgement about this forthcoming one. I'll let this beer stand on its own.

I was under the assumption that this had been released before and now they are canning it........I would ask about Tin Roof Voodoo but I don't want to get banned from the F&D board

imo this dialogue invites argument more than discussion, because like you said, nobody here has even tried it yet.

Timing couldn't be better. I'll be in NOLA that weekend.

Anyone heard anything about Parish ramping up their hoppy beer production?
