Spent many a nights during my youth getting fuk’d up like a football bat at Nick’s .... and the Boot, Fat Harry’s, ATII’s, Sitting Duck, Que Sera, Ms. Maes, and countless other bars in the Crescent. Glad that’s part of my past as I definitely had 9 lives.

No valet since the city of yes is currently very focus on bike lanes. No valet just blue bikes scattered up and down the avenue. Which is good b/c you won't get pulled over for making that illegal uturn.

This is roughly the 4th or 5th time they have reenvisioned Nicks on Tulane Ave since Katrina and the 4th or 5th time the Times Picayune has announced it. If the Superdome burns down and they build a hospital on the land I wouldn’t say the Superdome is coming back. It’s becoming hard to recognize what this City is supposedly becoming. Looks like it’ll be just as horrendous and fake as Sidney Torres’ abortion and disgrace of a Mid City Barroom the Wrong Iron.

Nick's Big Train Bar with it's venerable assortment of high potency libations and Wednesday Nigh Suicide Row has nevr been a respectable establishment and never should be. Nick's in a place like this is not Nick's. Nick's was a dump, a wonderful non respectable place to go when you wanted to do something distinctly anti-social....Nick Castrogiovanni and his generations of bartenders would be appalled.
Hipsters have already defiled Bud Rips in the Bywater now they will sodomize the memory of a perfectly unrespectable dive!!!!!!

Meh. I think Wrong Iron is pretty damn cool.
There are still plenty of dive bars in the city if you need that sort of thing.
I do agree that associating the name Nicks with this place seems dumb.
