Probably not. I hate the fact we can't control timing, chain of custody, etc. I want your food to be PERFECT

Makes sense, especially in the context of things like seafood. With that said, my understanding is that it’s not an all or nothing. I believe you could likely do a limited menu for more stable items like boudin, etc. Just food for thought

We run a strong lunch, and early dinner, until crawfish season is back. then nights and weekends

I see that the hours are 11-5:30. Any plans to open later than 5:30 in the future?

Definitely worth considering in the future. Thanks so much for the advice

I stopped by a few weeks ago and enjoyed the boudin and boudin egg rolls. I hope you are very successful.

I must admit, I was surprised to see the large billboard about drug resistant gonorrhea opposite the drive thru.

Who, exactly, did you piss off at lamar?!

Did Opie use to own or be part of the BBQ place in Denham Springs? Or am I confusing him with someone else?

Either way, the ribs, brisket, and smoked chicken at that place were always fantastic. Miss that place.

I'll stop by and support the new Opie's. Always happy to help another local business person.

If you opened one of these in Destin Fl, you would make a killing. There is nothing like this anywhere here. There was an Hebert's by Mid Bay Bridge at one time, but their concept was terrible.

In a few years, this is EXACTLY what I want to do.
I was there a few weeks ago checking out real estate

The Facebook page Eat the Boot is where I saw good reviews. I didn’t know you’d opened a new place until those posts popped up.

You should check out Huntsville Al first. Real estate will be a lot cheaper and that type of food would kill it up here. There is a place up here called Tim’s Cajun Kitchen that is packed and it is terrible. I think they get their boudin from Wal Mart.

The same year Ruffin had a posse out looking for you.

Opie I’ll be there later this week when I’m back in town. Congratulations and I know it will do great.

Love Jambo, was an old Opie’s customer. Went by the other day.

The stewed cabbage is awesome, solid greens, good catfish strips though very narrow/thin. Nice fried shrimp.

Decent boudin balls, pepper jack balls, egg rolls, just don’t expect Kartchner’s.

Can’t honestly say I like it better than Off the Hook or Cork’s..but am glad for their add to the market.

Will be back soon for the Burger.
