Looking for recommendations for a gravy dripping, multi-napkin, roast beef po-boy to rival New Orleans and Metairie.
Other than Dempsey's, I can't think of another restaurant or deli.
TIA

Rocco’s is the correct answer

Acme does a good roast beef poboy.

It’s been a while since I’ve had it, but I remember the one at Chimes East being in that category.

Yeah people shite on Acme but it’s quick and you can get a fine RB poboy there.

Thanks everyone. I've been to most of the recommended restaurants and I gave myself a dope slap for not remembering them.

I don’t buy all the Roccos hype on the roast beef. I feel like all I taste is garlic powder. This is out of left field but Maxwells has a solid, sloppy New Orleans roast beef po boy.

JED’s
The owners of JEDs lived and worked in New Orleans for years and they know where it’s at! The restaurant is pretty consistent, although TBH I’ve had a few off things from there. But they were always fixed.
Rocco’s is good too. I know he’s from NOLA as well, so his poboys are authentic.

I never tried to get the french dip, but New Orleans Poboys and Gyros on Coursey always had a great shrimp Philly when we lived out there. Also, their fried cheese is what got me addicted to Fried/Grilled Haloumi cheese.
Eta: Nevermind. Looks like they closed a while back. Shame.

Rocco’s is trash now and he should be ashamed of himself. His Chalmette roots are rolling over in their grave.

I heard the Pastime has a good one.
