New Orleans for 20th anniversary
What’s your suggestions for dinner in New Orleans for a 20th anniversary? We are staying at the Roosevelt and we would like something other than Commanders. Open to any type of cuisine or price point.
Thanks

August and Revolution have been on our list for a while. I don’t know much about Gautreau’s

Bayona is great for an anniversary dinner.

We’ll try Gautreau’s this time. Thanks for the recommendations. Bayona looked interesting but I was a little worried that the wife’s palate would be challenged. Sweetbreads for me and probably a salad for her.

My favorite restaurant is a short walk away. Galatoire's. Maybe it does not have the most romantic atmosphere in town but IMO it is the best place for a celebration.

Herbsaint and La Petite Grocery need to be mentioned, also.

If you go to Gautreau’s, please report back. I haven’t been since Chef Sue Zemanik left. I’ve wondered if it’s as good as it was.

re: New Orleans for 20th anniversary
My wife and I live near New Orleans so we have had a few anniversary dinners there.

Bayona and Café Amelie are both excellent choices.
Be sure to let them know it is your anniversary. They will treat you well.

If you go to Uptown area, then La Petite Grocery is excellent. Brightsen's is a great choice too, but it isn't as romantic. The restaurant is small and crowded.
