We are flying out early on Wednesday morning so we are spending the night around the airport. We have a 14 and 11 year old. Any recs on places to eat around there not super formal? Thanks.

Where you going, baw? Not much in Kenner. Casa Garcia, Sandros Trattoria or Kenner Seafood would be my suggestions. I’m sure others will chime in with better options.

Gendusa’s but that is closer to the old terminal when it was on Airline.

Closer to the new terminal are places like the Brick Oven on Vets and Williams and Mr Ed’s by Chateau Blvd.

Kenner Seafood and Harbor Seafood are good casual places.

Suggestions sound fine. If you guys are going to Disney, be sure to tell them about what you may encounter while inside Disney so they won't be shocked to see rats and ducks in sailor suits running around like crazy.

Friend,

For lunch and dinner, Kenner Seafood is your best choice. It is most convenient to the new airport terminal.

For breakfast and dessert, Tastees on Loyola serves the best fried sweets in Louisiana.

Friend,

How wonderful to hear of your positive experience! I hope you enjoyed all ten of the recommended dishes in the link above your last post.

If you do have the liberty of time and energy, might you please share what you ordered and a short review of your courses?

Yours,
TulaneLSU

Just want to say I flew into MSY today coming back from Tampa. I always google area + lunch or dinner and tigerdroppings. This thread came up. Went to Kenner Seafood and it was legit.

Also they have a fat Dungeness crab platter for $29.
