Sam's Rotisserie Chickens. I don't even waste my time buying a whole chicken unless I'm going to put it on the smoker. Still only $5 for a big arse chicken, too.

I got on that quest once for about a year. Fried almost every weekend, making changes. Never got it like the joints.

I don't know if it's possible unless you have a pressure fryer

You ain't making homemade fries better than these bad boys

I have used the double fry method on frozen fries and they are much better than following the directions. Not sure they beat fresh cut home fries using that method, but it's easy and they are darn good.

Cranberry sauce. Only ever have it at Christmas and thanksgiving, it it it don’t look like the can, I ain’t eating it. My mother in law always tries to get fancy and make it herself and it always sucks.

I sometimes make a cranberry sauce which is delicious, but honestly I’m fine with the whole cranberry sauce.

We used to buy the whole berry cranberry sauce, then my wife found a recipe for a cranberry chutney. We like it much better than the store-bought stuff now.

I’m not saying frozen lasagna is better than all homemade, I’m just saying it’s as good or better than any homemade my family has tried to make.

And a fraction of the effort.

I would much rather spend my time doing homemade mac n cheese than lasagna. We have a good Italian place real close to our house that does a Lasagna for 4 take home family meal for $40. Big deep pan of Lasagna, a huge salad, and 4 loaves of bread. I might be able to buy all the ingredients for that, but a phone call 30 minutes ahead of time then swing through the drive thru and dinner is on the table without having to actually cook the meat, noodles, layer it all up and bake.
