I salt the tomato but I do it before I put it on the sandwich as to avoid soggy bread

would destroy, but not enough meat. would double up on the bacon or add some smoked turkey or ham to it.

thats why i dont normally get BLTs because it has a tenth of an inch of meat on it.

I rarely get homegrown tomatoes.

That sandwich looks awesome. No mayo on the top piece of bread?

I'm with the OP. This isn't the sandwich to eat if you're looking to load up on meat. It's a light snack sandwich. The one in the OP is perfect IMO. Just the right amount of B, L, and T. I might slap mayo on the other slice of bread too.

I give this thread/sandwich a 10/10.

My favorite summer sandwich is made with the new Sara Lee Artesano Bread. Great new product.

Spread with Hellman's mayo. Slice a fresh homegrown tomato. Add slices of tomato in layers, with generous kosher salt and cracked black pepper on the tomato at each layer.

Eat over sink.

BLT and a Sonoma chicken salad sandwich are tough to beat in the summertime.

Yep. Hellmanns = Best Foods.

One of my kids asked me why Hardee's is called Carl's Jr. in Oregon. I told her that it's because Oregonians think that Hardee's is a stupid name for a restaurant.

I like. When possible, I use slab bacon. And some cheese would make it perfect.
