Just opened this week in the old Bon Temps location on Verot. I was excited another restaurant was taking over that spot, but looking at the website...doesn't quite seem like my vibe.

Are they targeting women in RR or something?

A concept birthed during the pandemic to provide an escape from life’s madness. Mercy Kitchen has set out to create that feeling you get when you retreat to your cultured friend’s kitchen to enjoy their hand muddled cocktails, curated wine/champs and delicious modern American food sourced from locally grown ingredients. After the past year, a place like this is much needed. LAWD HAMMERCY

This seems a little too try hard

C'mon baw. Deep down, all of us want to regain that feeling of going to our cultured friend's house. Where the women instinctively flock like the salmon of Capistrano.

Brussel sprouts for days

They sauté them, isn’t that fun?

On a scale of 1-10 how curated are your cultured friends’ wines?

I’m at like a 6.5 :-(

Cochon is misspelled on the menu. Dead to me.

ETA: Prosciutto, also misspelled.

Darla with the smackdown.....damn

But I'll be checking them out either Friday or Saturday.

Friend told me it was a nice bar with nice bar food with no real entrees.....but lots of shareables, sandwiches and salads.

Will give report when available.

I messaged them on FB (nicely) and their response was appreciative. I know I would want to know!

With a name like that, it sounds like it should be a place like Cafe Reconcile in NOLA. Where the staff are people that are in need of a second chance or mercy.

Sounds good to me, I think we’re gonna check it out in the next couple weeks.

Guy opening it has been pretty successful in the restaurant business so I’m sure it will be solid. Going for lunch Friday.

I have done the same on multiple occasions and it's been well received.

When you proof things over and over again, it's easy to miss things. You need a set of fresh eyes. It's amazing, though, that in today's world, typos aren't caught.

However, the last one I alerted had the same description for two completed different sandwiches. Not a typo.

Not rooting for it to fail, by any means, but it won’t last. Owned by the another broken egg group. Too much of a concept. Locals won’t go for it.

What does this mean

If they have good food, it’ll stick around.
