From personal experience, they’ll eat anything as long as they don’t pay.

So don’t overthink it. To them, it’s just another free meal and perk of the job.

Where did I say I wanted to impress anyone?

I was hoping for some entertaining replies like this one from RonFSwanson

I don’t see where you listed any Arm Candy or Side Pieces for this mover and shaker.

Back to the drawing board.

Don't ask for the Senator to "recommend me" something while he dines- it sounds uneducated. Just ask to recommend something, the me is implied if you(me) are the one asking.

You think a senator would want to hold court near those wannabe movers and shakers ?

I just read about a great spaghetti recipe that I’m sure the Senator would love

Senate Bean Soup (Senators get theirs made with a ham hock, Representatives get the same soup without a ham hock).

It's good stuff and recession proof.

As both Georgia senators are Democrats I would serve potted meat and stale crackers.
