Always found it overpriced and not anything special. Beers weren’t even college town priced.

Their special chicken sandwich was regularly served cold. Went five times my entire time in Hammond because of a friend and it sucked every time.

A burger and loaded potato at Mariners, then a couple cocktails and friendly banter at the Crescent across the street was/hopefully still is a good evening.

I worked at Mariners in the younger days, was good friends of the original as well as current owners. After we closed at 2am, they few I let stay to drink and party made for very fun times.

Is that the place with the kickin chicken sandwich?
If so, it was really good 20 years ago, can’t speak for it since I left the Hammond area

still is

we at there last night it was great as always.
caution for first timers, service ranges from “casual” to “comical” especially when they are busy. Just go with the flow

I like Mariner’s Inn, I would go with a burger or hamburger steak and fries but there’s a lot on the menu.

Not my favorite place, but sometimes a kicking chicken and bowl of crab and artichoke soup just hits the spot.

They had it crossed out on the menu 2 weeks ago, not sure if it was a permanent thing, I forgot to ask.

Mariner's is a favorite of mine, I recommend it to anyone coming into town. Get the kickin chicken or the black and blue burger, the wings are good as well.
