anyone ever been? Going to be in the Fremaux town center. This will be their first attempt in Louisiana. Anyone ever been? Decent food? Tough to imagine they'll be able to thrive in the fried seafood market in this area but the location is great and I imagine they'll get a lot of customers who are passing through Slidell on I-10 and want to eat "Cajun food".

Hi Folks,

My name is Raymond Griffin, founder of the "The Lost Cajun Restaurants®” where we feature southern style home cooking, like Fried catfish, shrimp, and oysters. REAL Louisiana Gumbo, Po-Boys and our signature dessert, Beignets! We are a full service, family friendly restaurant. We provide, in our opinion, the best service in the industry and it is our goal to make all of our guests feel like they are having dinner at a friends house. From our open kitchens to our handmade wooden tables and our New Orleans atmosphere, you will think that you stepped off of the street into a New Orleans bistro!

I am from the little island town of Barataria, Louisiana, just south of New Orleans, Louisiana. I used to own and operate a successful fishing lodge there for 15 years and that's where I learned how to cook authentic Cajun food. My guests kept telling me that the food was so good that I should open a restaurant!

The original Lost Cajun® was founded in October of 2010 in Frisco, Colorado with my late wife Belinda. In 2012, my best friend and fishing buddy Jon Espey joined me and we opened The Lost Cajun® in Breckenridge, Colorado. Since then we have grown The Lost Cajun® brand to more than 16 stores nationwide and counting!

Our customers have been driving our growth, with people from all over the country wanting to open a Lost Cajun® restaurant in their hometown. We believe that it is our unique culture and atmosphere, friendly staff, and of course great consistent food that makes us such a popular destination. We offer a unique brand that is not just another sandwich shop, pizza store or another burger joint. It's "food that you can taste" not too spicy and full of flavors that you have yet to experience!

Although it has good reviews and people here like it, I HATE the one in Fort Collins.
I have no idea how they’re going to survive in Louisiana.

The one in Odessa is decent compared to the other food options out there. They opened one up in Rosenburg, right near Sugar Land, and I don’t see how it’s going to survive again the various food options here.

It’s like the majority of your wannabe Cajun joints.

I been to the one in Pagosa Springs Colorado . Food is so so. No competition for Cajun food in the mountains and most of those ppl don’t even know what Cajun food is supposed to taste like so it works there. I don’t see it working in La though.

There is one near me in the north Houston area. It was fine for here but I only went once and had something fried. Not sure why they would open one in La.

I'm not sure how well it will do in La but I have eaten at the stores in Breckenridge and Frisco. "Good food" is a relative term in those mountain towns. I can only survive on brewery burgers and bar food for so long. Lost Cajun was a welcome respite. When I ordered a side of potato salad with my gumbo in Breck, the cook came out to see who the professional gumbo eater was. We had a good conversation and I enjoyed everything I was served, though I'm certain the rushing Blue River backdrop off their back patio upped the enjoyment factor a bit.

We ate at the one in pagosa springs last month. Not good for Cajun but decent considering you’re in the middle of the mountains. I’d pass if there were other options nearby.

10 fried oysters for $20?

I’ll stick with Peck’s and take the 3 dozen for the same price.
