Don’t have enough time to head too far west. I’m thinking Bergerons, Tramonte’s or Benoit’s but I have never had any of them. Any suggestions not named Richards or Mandas?

If you are looking for a brand that can be found in local grocery stores, I've used French Settlement andouille the last few batches and I like it.

I was going to try to stay away from store brands but I have never tried French Settlement.

New Orleans Smoked Sausage.
Best non-meat market sausage out there IMO. Rouses in Slidell has it. Assume Rouses around Red Stick would carry it.

Does the Sams club in BR carry Rabideaux’s? If yes. That is the answer.

Agreed. If you can get Rabideauxs, question answered. Problem solved.

That sucks. We are fortunate that a local restaurant retails it in Monroe. Great product for gumbos and jambalayas.

I personally think Bergeron’s is great, and that’s coming from a VP sausage man. Benoit’s is good. Don’t care for Bellue’s.

I truly don't understand how Manda's stays in business.

The average person actually thinks that shite is good, and it’s a name they recognize. A couple times I asked my wife to buy some quality sausage because I didn’t have time, and both times she bought Manda. She didn’t understand why I was upset.

We cook jambalaya competitively using only Veron’s Mild (control the spice better that way). Their Andoullie is good, but not up with the Acadiana meat markets IMO. French Settlement products are also good, if you don’t mind crossing the river, I’ve used Bergeron’s and Benoits to make venison sausage over the years. and their smoked products are both excellent. Finally, if you’re in the AP, Tee Wayne’s on 621 is cranking out some really good sausage. Had him do my deer processing this year, and everyone that’s had it has raved about it.
