Yeah more so meant at $90 a pop. It’s a good gift - I just can’t pay $90 for it. Albeit, I spent a lot more money on a lot more dumb shite.

All of a sudden we’re going to put our foot down on spending $90 on a bottle?

Like oh I’ll pay $70, but $90? No way!

All of it’s overpriced, klumpy. And if it’s not yet, it will be soon

I don’t have as big of an issue with the $90 as I do with just how dorignacs handle all their allocated shite. The blantons is mild compared to their normal rapeage.

It's over rated. There are plenty of of others out there for cheaper and are better.

Dorignacs jacks up their price, but I never pay 100 at Acquistipace. They don't keep it on the shelves, but ask when you go and Adam will grab a bottle if they have it in stock. I always pay the $50 that it costs. They are very honest people there.

The sad/crazy part is that Dorignacs sold out 35 cases/210 bottles at $89.99 in a couple days.

Check Rouses. The one by me let’s you put your name on a list and they call you when it comes in. I’ve done that and gotten 2 in the past 3 week. $59/bottle.

That's nuts, but it goes to show how people overreact to overhyped things. Don't get me wrong, I love Blantons. It's one of my favorite bourbons, but I am not paying inflated prices for it when there are other great bourbons to be had at that $40-$50 price point.

More than that, I can't stand Dorignac's shitty business model. They mark up just about all of their non-standard liquors. They have every right to do so, and they will keep on doing it as long as people pay those prices. I personally prefer to support more honest businesses like Acquistipace. I have never seen them price gouge anything.

Yea and those 10 cases sold out the same day for $90 per bottle. That is ridiculous

Goddamn! I remember buying a bottle of Blanton's from Rouses like 5-6 years ago for like $45. A couple of years later I bought another for like $55-60. It's a great bourbon but one thing I like about bourbon is that so many great values can be had in the $30 to $50 range. Same as rum, rye, and Irish whisky you can always find good stuff that drinks above it price point. Scotch is a different story.

you might be right. Last year around this time and then this pst summer I got some good calls from them. Recently got a HW MWND at $80. FYI - I know you said you already got one but they had 3 in the back with no names on them. Mine was supposed To have my name but luckily the 3 they had weren’t being saved I guess. I’m sure they’ll be there tomorrow as it sounded like they were just sitting in the back but idk. Cov location.

One of my local stores had Blantons and ECBP before Christmas, I asked her to run by and get me the ECBP instead of the Blantons for Christmas. Better bourbons out there for what people are asking for on Blantons.
